GB4U member - GCS - has established a dedicated Service & Maintenance workshop

Global Clearance Solutions (GCS), Global Business for Ukraine member, is delighted to announce our Service and Maintenance facility, ready to welcome our state-of-the-art demining platforms when and if the need for repair arises.

Fabian Klauser, Head of Service and Maintenance, underlines how preparedness ensures sustainable best use of international mine clearance investment to date and in the future: “Our workshop is able to accommodate several GCS-200 machines, which are ideally suited to eliminating explosive threats for agricultural land and ensuring infrastructure such as electricity pylons can be repaired and essential power restored to civilians. There is also space for the smaller GCS-100.”

GCS Technical Support Team Lead Florian Loeffler is also excited to welcome the facility and the continued partnership with SESU, Nibulon and other Ukrainian organisations to meet the challenge of eliminating explosive threats and creating safe environments for all: “Our workshop is an essential element of our end-to-end involvement with clients and international donors. Machines that are working are saving lives, day in, day out.”

For now, the remote-controlled machines are all busy clearing up to a football-pitch sized area of land per day each, so Daniel Geithe, GCS Technical Support, had to make do with an impromptu repair for a client with a broken-down transport truck, which he enthusiastically and successfully undertook.
